A Labor Day Video: Thank You, Deacon Dennis
Our Labor Day cookout at St. Joseph Clubhouse now has a video! We’re still buzzing with excitement after the wonderful visit from Deacon Dennis Hayes and the incredible folks from St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church.
But here’s what really has us over the moon: Deacon Dennis didn’t just come to serve alongside us (though that was pretty fantastic too). He took the time to create a beautiful video that captures what we do here at Magnificat Houses Inc. and why it matters so much.
In his video, Deacon Dennis shows members of his congregation, Mi Gente, joining us to serve our community members, but more importantly, he tells our story. He explains the heart behind our mission and helps people understand what St. Joseph Clubhouse is really about. That kind of storytelling? That’s pure gold for an organization like ours.
It’s one thing when we talk about our work, but when someone like Deacon Dennis experiences it firsthand and then shares that experience with others, it reaches people in a completely different way. His authentic enthusiasm and genuine care shine through every frame, and honestly, it made us see our own work through fresh eyes.
We spend so much time focused on the day-to-day operations that sometimes we forget how special what we do really is. Watching Deacon Dennis highlight the connections, the community, and the dignity we try to foster here reminded us why we fell in love with this mission in the first place.
The ripple effect of his video will last longer and spread wider than one cookout. That’s the power of someone taking the time to really see what you’re doing and then helping others see it too.
So Deacon Dennis, from all of us at Magnificat Houses Inc., thank you! Thank you for serving with us, for seeing our community members as the amazing individuals they are, and especially for taking the time to share our story with the world. Your video is going to help us reach so many more people who might want to be part of this incredible community we’re building together.
With huge smiles and grateful hearts,
*The whole Magnificat Houses Inc. team*
