Magnificat Houses Launches New Website to Better Serve Houston’s Most Vulnerable
A New Chapter for Hope: Explore Our New Website and Lifesaving Services
Magnificat Houses, Inc. is proud to announce the launch of our newly redesigned website, a more accessible, user-friendly space created to connect Houston’s most vulnerable populations with life-changing support. Whether someone is looking for a hot meal, seeking housing for homeless individuals, a safe place to sleep, or community-based mental health programs, our new site makes it easier than ever to find help fast.
Since 1968, Magnificat Houses has provided housing, meals, and mental health support for men and women experiencing homelessness, poverty, and mental illness in the Houston area. With more than a dozen residential homes, a large downtown soup kitchen, and our St. Joseph Clubhouse in Midtown, we remain rooted in one mission: to restore dignity and rebuild lives through community.
Here’s a spotlight on the services you’ll find on our new website:
Housing for the Homeless in Houston
We operate a network of neighborhood homes that offer a stable, supportive environment for adults rebuilding their lives. Residents are not just given shelter—they’re welcomed into a community of compassion. Case management, spiritual guidance, and a pathway to independence are at the heart of our housing program.
Free Meals for the Hungry
Our long-standing meal program, formerly located at Loaves & Fishes in Downtown Houston, is preparing to relocate to a new site that will allow us to better serve our guests in a more accessible and welcoming space. We remain committed to providing hundreds of hot, home-cooked meals every day to individuals experiencing food insecurity. Updates about the new location and service hours will be available soon on our website.
St. Joseph Clubhouse: Mental Health with Dignity
For those living with a mental health diagnosis, St. Joseph Clubhouse offers a community-based model of empowerment, purpose, and healing. Members take part in work units, life skills development, and peer support activities that show every person has something valuable to contribute. Located in Midtown, the Clubhouse is a welcoming space of hope and inclusion.
Together, we can ensure that no one in Houston walks alone.
Explore our new site today and see how you can help spread hope.
