A Day of Warmth, Care, and Community with House of Prayer…
At Magnificat Houses, moments of connection and compassion are what bring our mission to life, and we were blessed to experience just that through a visit from House of Prayer.
Their team joined us with open hearts and helping hands, offering tangible care to our residents, members, and clients. Together, they distributed warm blankets, hygiene kits, and nourishing meals, meeting immediate needs while also offering something just as important: presence, dignity, and kindness.
For individuals experiencing homelessness or housing instability, a blanket can mean warmth and comfort, a hygiene kit can restore a sense of dignity, and a shared meal can create a moment of belonging. House of Prayer’s generosity reminded us that compassion is most powerful when it is personal.
Beyond the items they provided, their willingness to serve and connect made a lasting impact. Conversations were shared, smiles exchanged, and our community was strengthened through simple acts of love and service.
We are deeply grateful to House of Prayer for partnering with us and for living out their commitment to serving others. Their visit is a beautiful example of how collaboration and compassion can bring hope and comfort to those who need it most.
Thank you, House of Prayer, for walking alongside Magnificat Houses and helping us continue to offer dignity, care, and community to all who come through our doors.
House of Prayer previously served with Loaves and Fishes. For groups or individuals who previously served with Loaves and Fishes and are looking for new ways to volunteer, please reach out to our Volunteer Coordinator Lenny DiFranza at ldifranza@mhihouston.org.
